About Jackpot

Jackpot is a 15 minute, comic short produced by third year students at The University of York. It focuses on an awkward man named Peter who fantasises about winning over the cute and nerdy girl in his office, Susie. He manages to impress her when he gives away a lottery ticket to a homeless man but when he discovers it was a winning ticket he sets out on an insane quest to get the ticket back from the homeless man before he cashes it in. Equipped with a dream of buying Susie’s affection Peter ends up embarking on a journey that goes beyond his wackiest dreams but, unfortunately for him, his luck may have run out. 

 

We are currently at the first stages of pre-production where our crew are working hard script writing, storyboarding, budgeting and more to ensure Jackpot will reach it's full potential.
